I graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelors Degree in Special Education in 1986. For the past 19 years, I have had the privilege of teaching at the junior high in the Springboro Schools. Prior to that I worked in Northern Kentucky, Georgia and another district in Ohio. I am currently attending Xavier University in persuit of my Master's Degree in Special Education and plan on graduating in 2010.
I have been married for almost 21 years and have 4 awesome boys: Zach (17), Jake (16), Jonathan (12) and Steven (10) We have lived in Lebanon for 16 years and also have 2 golden retrievers, Lexie and Maya. My days are filled with teaching, raising my boys and playing with my dogs. I also love spending time with family and friends, scrapbooking, and reading.
Currently I am enrolled in a technology class at XU and my final assisnment is to create a Wiki page, so here I am! I feel this coming school year is going to fantastic as I have exciting things planned; technology being one of the tools I would like to use more often to enrich the learning environment in my classroom.
As always, I feel parent involvement is crucial. I am privileged to teach your children, but I cannot do it alone. We are a team, and together we can make it a fantastic year by encouraging your children learn in an exciting, enriching, and safe environment.
